COMMODYN · Communication after delivery

Sending does not tell you where it landed.

COMMODYN is the parent environment for research, publishing and professional practice concerned with what happens after organisational communication is delivered.

A message can be approved, produced and sent. That does not establish what it became in reception, relay or action.

What COMMODYN examines

What can be known after a message is sent.

COMMODYN begins by separating what a record establishes from what is inferred about reception, relay and action.

It follows the conditions before communication, the communicative object that left, and the evidence that later comes back. Evidence can narrow the possibilities without making the receiver transparent.

Before another message

Before communication becomes the answer, ask what is actually known.

  • “People didn’t understand it.”
  • “We need to communicate this again.”
  • “There is resistance.”
  • “The message didn’t land.”
  • “We need better engagement.”

Each statement starts a question. None identifies the constraint by itself.

EvidenceInferenceDiagnosisWhat can still be changed

  • What is evidence?
  • What is inference?
  • Where does the constraint sit?
  • What can communication still change?

Where it matters

Communication with organisational consequences.

The work bears on strategy, organisational change, internal communication and institutional messages, especially where communication passes through several people, settings, languages or decisions.

The work

One environment. Four connected lines of work.

01

Research

COMMODYN Research

COMMODYN Research is the research environment for the work below. It examines what becomes visible when organisational communication is investigated from landing rather than inferred from delivery. Its claims remain evidence-bounded and open to revision.

02

COMMODYN research line

Voice Provenance

Voice Provenance is a COMMODYN research line asking what a heard voice establishes about its source. It opens questions of message, messenger, AI, provenance, accountability and receiver inference.

Book and research project

Where Messages Land

Where Messages Land is COMMODYN’s main book and research project. It follows professional communication from the conditions before a message exists through reception, retelling and action, to the evidence that eventually comes back.

Professional practice

DutchVibezzz

DutchVibezzz is the professional voice practice. It works at delivery: executive and institutional recordings in European English and Dutch.
